Current registered senior participants and new participants age 60+ can pick up a lunch at the following drive up locations, Monday through Friday.
Participants are encouraged to call at least one day prior to reserve a meal for pick-up at 910-798-6420. For Maides Park, please call 910-341-7867 at least one day prior to reserve a meal. Please provide the date and location of the meal you are requesting.
For participants who wish to dine in our Ohana Cafe at the Senior Resource Center, the first dining is from 10:00 to 11:45am. Activities for the day begin at 10:00am. Lunch is served at 11:00 with the Ohana Cafe closing for sanitizing at 11:45. The second dining is from 12:00 to 1:00pm.

The Senior Resource Center (SRC) has a Nutrition program in Castle Hayne to serve residents in northern New Hanover County. Residents can enjoy a variety of programs, services, and fitness classes at Castle Hayne Baptist Church. Nutritious lunches will also be offered for seniors ages 60+.

Home-bound elderly citizens age 60 and over receive a lunch Monday through Friday, prepared at the Center Nutrition site by a local catering company.
All potential program participants need to complete a telephone screening assessment to determine eligibility. A social worker will make a home visit to complete the assessment and enroll the participant into the program, if participant meets eligibility requirements. At least every six months, participants are reassessed to determine their continued eligibility and to insure their needs continue to be appropriately met.
Menus from state guidelines provide 1/3 of daily food requirements. Meals on Wheels, Inc. a non-profit organization, works closely with the Senior Resource Center and provides meals to home-bound individuals on the weekends.
