Men’s Exercise with Fran is held weekly on M/W/F in the Dance Studio at the Senior Resource Center. A fee of $25.00 per month is to be paid to the instructor.

Scrabble, checkers, and other card game play is offered weekly at the Senior Resource Center. Due to capacity limitations, registration for play is required.

Geri Fit with Mary
Oct 22 @ 8:30 am – 9:30 am

Geri-Fit is a strength training evidence based program for older adults. This senior fitness program is for all fitness levels. Each class takes about 45 minutes and residents can work their way through this exercise class from the comfort of a chair. This is a free class to participants over the age of 60.

Line Dance Exercise with Sharon
Oct 22 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Love line dancing but want an extra kick? Try Line Dance Exercise with Sharon offered weekly at the Senior Resource Center.  This class is $3.00 per session, and cost is to paid to instructor.  Due to capacity limits, registration is required.

Open card game play
Oct 22 @ 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Open card game play is offered each Monday and Friday afternoon at the Senior Resource Center in the Hanover Room. This time is for all types of card groups, scrabble, checkers, etc. and registration is required.

GRADS craft group

The Senior Resource Center offers the GRADS craft group meeting each week on Monday mornings. This group of talented participants creates handmade items such as baby hats, scarves, and blankets to donate to non profit agencies throughout our community.

Intermediate Line Dance with Sharon
Oct 25 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Intermediate Line Dance with Sharon is held weekly on Mondays at the Senior Resource Center. A fee of $3.00 per class is required, and to be paid to the instructor.

Golden Tappers Club

Painting Studio time with Brenda

Painting Studio time with Brenda is group with a love of painting, who meet together each week to paint together. No instruction is given, only a time to paint together and share your passion, in our Tidewater Room.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to tap dance? This is the class for you! This beginner tap class is held each Monday at the Senior Resource Center. There is a fee of $3.00 per class, and payment should be given to the instructor.

Cape Fear Rug Hookers Group

The Cape Fear Rug Hookers group meets at the Senior Resource Center each Tuesday.  There is no fee to participate in the group, although you can purchase a rug hooking kit with instructions from the group leader if you choose to do so.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers
Oct 26 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

A Powerful Tools for Caregivers support group will be offered once a week beginning October 5th! This group will focus on caring for yourself while also caring for someone else. This is a traditional Tai Chi class designed for beginners offered weekly on Wednesdays at the Senior Resource Center.  Due to capacity limits, registration is required.

Gentle Yoga for Bone and Back Health
Oct 27 @ 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

Yoga stresses balance, strength- building, and alignment which can help people avoid bone injuries. This is a low impact Yoga class offered weekly at the Senior Resource Center. Due to capacity limits, pre-registration is required. A fee of $5.00 is required for this class, and is to be paid to the instructor.
