Businesses are an important part of our community: they provide jobs and products for our citizens and provide the basis for our local economy. Because they are such an important part of our lives, businesses need to be well prepared for disasters just as other segments of our community.
Access & Functional Needs Registry
If you are on oxygen, have a physical disability that would make it difficult to evacuate, or have other medical needs, you are strongly encourage to sign up for the Access & Functional Needs Registry as part of your Emergency Preparedness Plan.
Disasters can happen anytime, anywhere, and when disaster strikes, you may not have much time to respond.

In the event of an emergency, New Hanover County may order residents to evacuate from dangerous areas and may choose to open shelters.

When creating your emergency plan and preparing your disaster supply kit, be sure to include the needs of your pets.
